Syndigo is the content service provider for Ahold Delhaize USA serving all the great local brands including Stop & Shop, Hannaford, The Giant Company, Giant and Food Lion across all areas of the business including eCommerce, planogram, marketing and the print circular.

Syndigo’s enhanced capabilities ensure both internal and external customers across Ahold Delhaize USA’s great local brands have access to the most accurate and complete product data available. PDL has partnered with Syndigo to create a streamlined process for product submission (digital or physical) to ensure that product images & package data are available for all areas of the business. How To Submit Content To Syndigo
ADUSA Sponsored Physical Submissions
*Please note that only ADUSA sponsored content goes to the Carlisle, Salisbury, or Scarborough locations. If you are a client that has an agreement with Syndigo, please send your content to Peoria for capture.
How do I get my item(s) sold in ADUSA stores?
- For Current Suppliers – please reach out to your category manager or contact at ADUSA. They will be able to assist with getting approval to sell products.
- For New Suppliers – please click here to learn more about selling products to ADUSA and its stores.
How long will it take for my items to syndicate to ADUSA banners?
Once samples have arrived or digitals have been submitted and approved, your items will be available for ADUSA banners to pull within 10-12 days.
My digital submission wasn’t approved, what’s next?
Please submit physical versions of your products. The turn around for physical is the same as digital. All you need to do is let your Syndigo account representative know that you will be sending in physical products instead and they will be able to help you with the process.
Can I ship empty packaging or flats?
Yes – however we are not able to accept items with openings or clear windows where content would be missing. In addition, Syndigo would require product gross weight.

Content+
Content+ is only available for ADUSA brands (Ahold: Stop & Shop, Giant Foods, and Giant Martins). This content is not used by Marketing, Hannaford, or Food Lion.
Content+ includes lifestyle images, scale images, mobile hero, and additional eCommerce content. This does not replace the main content ingested by ADUSA for their online shopping pages; these images will fill in the additional image slots within their carousel. Mobile hero will replace main images if approved. They are currently reviewed twice a year for approval in February and August.
You have two options to publish your item content to PDL: via the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), or via PDL’s STEP program.
Note: the STEP program is designed for suppliers who may have only a small number of SKUs and manually publish their content without a third party. Suppliers are recommended to publish through GDSN, especially if they have multiple SKUs or plan to publish content to other retailers.

GDSN Data Pool
PDL requires publishing to GDSN standards in order provide the most current and complete product information. Syndigo is the GDSN data pool and preferred content provider for PDL. If you need to deliver item content for Ahold Delhaize brands (Food Lion, Giant Food of Landover, GIANT Food Stores of Carlisle, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop), please fill out the form below to get started.
NOTE: For those suppliers who wish to manage their data internally because they only submit a small number of product SKUs to PDL, the STEP program is a secondary option.
STEP Program
If you manage your data in house and wish to send directly to PDL without a third-party provider, you must use the STEP program. This system was designed for suppliers who may only have a small number of SKUs or do not publish information broadly beyond PDL. This product content must be delivered in a way that complies with PDL requirements. If you manage your product content through a third-party provider, you cannot use the PDL STEP program. It is strongly recommended that suppliers publish their data through a GDSN data pool like Syndigo, especially if they have multiple SKUs or plan to publish content to other retailers, in order to maintain data quality and compliance. Why Syndigo
Syndigo has a streamlined process that enables the supplier to submit product samples (either digital or physical) to Syndigo, which ensures that all necessary product data is available with proper image and content formats for eCommerce.
